The old trees in the garden
of Villa Noho
Anyone visiting Villa Noho quickly realizes that the unique character of this place is created by the combination of many elements: Lake Constance, the Alpine panorama, the spacious garden, the private beach, and the old trees that have shaped the property for generations.
Some of them are already around 150 years old. They provide welcome shade on hot summer days, offer a habitat for countless birds and other wildlife, and contribute greatly to the special atmosphere of the garden.
Particularly fascinating is the way the garden changes throughout the seasons. In winter, many of the trees lose their leaves, allowing significantly more sunlight to reach both the garden and the living areas of the villa. At the same time, the evergreen conifers ensure that the property retains its structure and character even during the colder months.
In spring, nature often seems to awaken within just a few days. The copper beech is usually among the first large trees to unfold its distinctive reddish-purple foliage, while the linden tree tends to take a little longer and is often among the last to develop its full canopy.
Flowering, fruit production and leaf fall also occur at different times depending on the species. As a result, the appearance of the garden is constantly changing, offering new impressions throughout every month of the year.
Among the most remarkable trees at Villa Noho are:
-
Tulip Tree
-
Giant Thuja
